Customize Your Trip
I want your trip to be exactly what you want and if I’ve done my job you will leave the water a better angler. I can’t make the fish bite or guarantee you will catch a muskie. However, I will do my best to meet your expectations. I want you to be happy with your trip even if the fish didn’t cooperate and the weather was bad. After more than 25 years of muskie fishing the only thing I know for sure is that I don’t know it all. I see each day on the water as an opportunity to learn a little more about muskies and their behavior.

Trips may be a mix of casting and trolling depending on the method that is producing best at the time we're on the water. If you want to specifically cast or troll that is up to you and part of customizing your trip. It is your trip after all.

If you want to learn about tackle, techniques or how I work lures, we'll work together to make your trip a learning experience. If you just want to catch a muskie or if you want to spend a day trying to catch the biggest fish in the lake I'll do my best to put you in position to make that possible.

Does the guide fish?

You aren’t in the boat to come along with me while I go fishing. I only fish on your trip if you want me to fish. I'm there to provide instruction and put the boat on fish, not to show you that I have the ability to catch muskies. Maybe you want me to fish so you can see how I execute a figure eight, retrieve specific lures or fish structure. You may also want another lure in the water to increase your chance to catch a fish. Keep a couple things in mind though:

• Boat control is my priority.
• If I’m fishing my rod is your rod, any fish I hook will be handed off to you.
